HELEN’S BRIDGE HOLIDAYS

Brdge is fun!

As you will see on my website: www.helensbridgeholidays.co.uk, many of my holidays have no or limited availability, so prompt action is necessary if you would like to join me for any of the others, especially if you are wanting rooms for single occupancy.

Rather than list all my remaining holidays here, I’m just including the ones in the next six months which are not fully booked.

In December, I have a few sharing rooms still available at the Netherwood, Grange-over-Sands for the 3 night holiday from the 2nd to 5th December and the  5 night holiday from the 8th to 13th December .

To fill that gap between Christmas and New Year, I’m off to Llandudno for a Twixmas break at the Kensington Hotel from the 27th to 30th December. This is limited to 7 tables as a dance group will be using the ballroom. I have just one sharing room left.

In the new year,  I’m at the ever-popular Bedford Hotel, Lytham St Annes from the 17th to 20th January – sorry, no single occupancy rooms left at the moment, but you can ask to be put on the reserve list in case more rooms are released nearer the time.

The holiday at the Bedford Hotel, Lytham St Annes from the 21st  to 24th February similarly has no single occupancy rooms left at the moment, but again you can ask to be put on the reserve list.

In March, I return to the Skipton Hotel (formerly the Rendezvous) from the 2nd to 5th March. The Skipton Hotel calculates prices by room rates, so a double occupancy room costs £510 plus bridge and there is a £120 discount for single occupancy. Prices on my website are quoted per person.

EXTRA HOLIDAY The Bedford has given me another weekend, so I have lots of single occupancy rooms available for the 7th to 10th March.

From the 24th to 27th March, I am back at the ever popular Cave Castle Hotel in South Cave, East Yorkshire. The extra holiday I put on there this month has 16 tables and there are no limits on the number of rooms I’m allowed for single occupancy. You do need a car if you want to explore the area as there is little in the way of public transport, though the hotel does have a gym and swimming pool free to guests and there is a spa and golf club on the site which offer discounts.

From the 31st March to the 4th April, I will be up in the Scottish Borders at the Ednam House Hotel in Kelso where prices have been held at last year’s rates, so this may be the right time to experience this quirky hotel overlooking the river.

Immediately afterwards, from the 4th to the 7th April, I’ll be at the Auckland Hotel, a complete contrast. The Auckland is a small family-run hotel, spotlessly clean and well-maintained, serving up plain food well cooked.

For details of all these holidays, click on the dates above. If you wish to be added to the waiting list for holidays on the website (www.helensbridgeholidays.co.uk) which are currently fully booked, just send me an email. There is no obligation. If I have a cancellation, I contact you to see if you’re still interested and available.

All of my 2025 holidays now have prices and several are filling up already. I even have dates for some 2026 holidays and am taking provisional bookings to be confirmed or cancelled once I let you know the prices.

And finally…..we seem to be diversifying! Many of our guests are joining us for a late session of Mexican Train Dominoes or Rummikub after bridge in the evenings. We were also joined on the last Kelso holiday for one of Treasure Trails’ treasure hunts. Great fun is had by all!

Take care and keep smiling
