As you will see on my website: www.helensbridgeholidays.co.uk, many of my holidays have no or limited availability, so prompt action is necessary if you would like to join me for any of the others, especially if you are wanting rooms for single occupancy. Rather than list all my remaining holidays here, I’m just including the ones in the next six months which are not fully booked. The ever popular Bedford Hotel in Lytham St Annes has a few rooms left for sharing only for the 5 night holiday from the 28th July to 2nd August. If you missed out in June, you might like to book for Ednam House in Kelso for the holiday from the 12th to 16th August. Ednam House backs on to the river Tweed so the views as well as the town are delightful and the Italian ice cream shop is well worth a visit! I have just one room for single occupancy left. The Bedford Hotel, Lytham St Annes, only has sharing rooms available for the 3 night holiday from the 13th to 16th September. All my hotels in October still have some availability: 6th to 9th – Cairndale Hotel, Dumfries – the new £2 million spa is now open – ask the hotel for details & prices. The playing room has now moved to the opposite side of the hotel. It can be accessed through the hotel, but this does involve stairs. The easiest access is by going out of the front door and then walking along the front of the hotel to the function room door. Although Dumfries itself is a bit dour, there’s still plenty to see and do in the area. Plus, if, like Patrick, you enjoy a game of crazy golf, Dumfries has a very cheap course! 11th to 14th – Auckland Hotel, Morecambe – just 2 rooms left. 21st to 24th – North Euston Hotel, Fleetwood. Come and see why this unlikely holiday destination was full in June. 27th October to 1st November – Bedford Hotel, Lytham St Annes - a few rooms left for double occupancy. In November, I only have one of my own bridge holidays as Patrick and I plan to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. It is the extra 3 night holiday at the popular Cave Castle Hotel in East Yorkshire from the 11th to 14th November . Following a cancellation, I now have one double/twin room left for the 3 night holiday at the Netherwood, Grange over Sands, from the 2nd to 5th December. In December, there are still 6 rooms left for the 5 night holiday at the Netherwood, Grange over Sands, from the 8th to 13th December. The hotel looks splendid at this time of year as it’s decorated ready for Christmas. Then, there are 4 sharing rooms left at the Kensington Hotel, Llandudno for the Twixmas holiday from the 27th to 30th December. This is the one where we’re sharing with a dance group so their need for the ballroom is greater than ours! Prizes are strictly vouchers or cash and the evening sessions start a little later than usual, but, otherwise, everything is as usual. For details of all these holidays, click on the dates above.
