These holidays are not for complete beginners, but will be suitable for anyone who has completed a bridge course. They are aimed at the non tournament bridge player but more experienced players are welcome too.
So, what am I offering? I will be giving seminars on bidding or play based on my 20+ years experience of teaching bridge. The bridge sessions will be run exactly as you would expect from a retired EBU “B” Flight Tournament Director with duplimated boards, electronic scoring using Bridgemate II’s and copies of the hands available for more study.
The pace will be slow (much slower than the standard 8 boards an hour for my competitive holidays) and very relaxed.
I will be available before and after bridge for consultation on bridge matters. I may not have all the right answers but will probably know someone who does!
Programme:
Day 1 : Arrive at the hotel from 3:00 p.m. Meet Helen in the bar for drinks at 5:30p.m. Dinner at 6:00 p.m. Bridge Session (Pairs) at 7:30 p.m.
Day 2 : Morning seminar at 10:00 a.m. with prepared hands to illustrate the topic discussed. Afternoon free to explore the area or relax in the hotel & grounds. Meet Helen in the bar for drinks at 5:30p.m. Dinner at 6:00 p.m. Bridge Session Mystery Teams — no need to find team-mates, just play with your usual partner and you’ll find out at the end of the evening who the rest of your team are) at 7:30 p.m.
